About Branflaker

Brandi at Peggy's Cove, Nova ScotiaSo who am I… My name is Brandi and I started this blog because I woke up one morning at 3am and couldn’t fall back asleep.   I work funny hours because of my job and don’t always sleep at normal times because I’m used to being up in the middle of the night.

I don’t know if enough interesting things happen to me that I can write about, so this blog might end up just being a commentary on where I am  while I’m traveling.  We’ll just have to wait and see.  Either way, thanks for stopping by.

    1. Hi Chris

How are you? I’m glad you found my blog, so that we can reconnect. I’ve joined facebook, but to try and look through all the people on there from USP is ridiculous and I quickly gave up trying to find people I know. So how is your family? How is your job? Are you still at the hospital in Reading? Still working nights?
Hope to hear back from you.

      1. I am doing well.

I haven’t got in to the Facebook thing yet. Maybe someday.

The family is all doing great. Cheyenne will be in 1st grade, Carissa will start Kindergarden and Derrick has his PT/OT/Speech therapies 3 mornings per week. Debbi still has lots of pain in her feet, but she just loves being a mom. I can’t blame her, the kids are lots of fun.

We have had some recent additions to the family, our guinea pig had babies. Now we have 6 guinea pigs (outside), a rabbit and a Goldendoodle.

Yes, I still work at St Joes. Nights of course, I can’t stand days. Our dayshifters don’t get their schedule until less than 2 weeks from when the 4 week schedule starts. I don’t know how they can plan with that. Maybe a dayshift or evening shift 7 on/7 off would work. I work 1 evening on my week off at a very small community pharmacy to see what’s going on there and 1 night on the ambulance.

Are you still nights? It takes a certain breed to be nights, not everybody can do it and like it.
